Ryan Briscoe set the pace by 0.1496s in this early Friday practice session at the Chicagoland Speedway. He took that fastest lap away from Scott Dixon in the closing moments of practice. Championship leader Will Power was third with four Andretti Autosport cars taking fourth through seventh: Marco Andretti, Danica Patrick, Ryan Hunter-Reay and Tony Kanaan.
